24th August

I spent today deciding if I wanted to play in the Singapore Closed. Yen Sun thinks there's no reason why I shouldn't - taping the knee should be good enough. But I don't feel right. Not prepared enough, the way I want to be. Which is why I've decided I'm not playing in it. Yeah I might win but whats the point when my target is the National title. I would very much prefer the pressure to be on her when we do meet.

Training programme
September
Physical :
Target - Increase fitness. 5km in 26min
Plan - Run thrice weekly.
Technical :
Target -
Keep working on drives.
Concentrate on boasts, volleys, drops.
Footwork.
Tactical :
Plan - Competitive match once a week.

October
Physical :
Target - Intervals. %km down to 25min
Plan - Run 5km once a week. Intervals twice weekly.
Technical :
Target -
Keep working on drives, boasts, volleys, drops.
Practise delaying and shielding.
Footwork.
Tactical :
Plan - Competitive match twice a week.

November
Physical :
Target - Maintain fitness. Continue intervals til mid Nov.
Plan - Run 5km once a week. Intervals twice weekly.
Technical :
Target -
Keep working on drives, boasts, volleys, drops.
Practise delaying and shielding.
Tactical :
Plan - Competitive match twice/thrice a week.

December
Physical : Maintenance.
Plan - 5km and intervals once a week.

Thats my training programme. Will modify it as I think of more and include the weekly programme tmr.
